19th May Non-violent women beating by SPVM officers

The women is standing Tiananmen Square style in-front of a hoard of Riot Police. Although SPVM spokespersons and lame-stream media justified the violent attack on demonstrators claiming rocks and objects were thrown at the Police, our cameras prove that to be a lie. The women is swarmed by riot police who pull her violently from her hair and then continue to assault her on the ground while she exhibits no resistance. A women in a wheelchair was next in line to be attacked, but she berates them and they snap out of their haze. We attempt to continue filming more of the police unjustified over use of force bit our technician carrying the transmission unit is violently pulled down by an officer and we lose the feed.

Julia Bacha: Pay attention to nonviolence

In 2003, the Palestinian village of Budrus mounted a 10-month-long nonviolent protest to stop a barrier being built across their olive groves. Did you hear about it? Didn't think so. Brazilian filmmaker Julia Bacha asks why we only pay attention to violence in the Israel-Palestine conflict -- and not to the nonviolent leaders who may one day bring peace. Julia Bacha is the Media Director at Just Vision and the director and producer of "Budrus," a documentary about a West Bank village, a giant barrier and nonviolent resistance.

The Power and Potential of Nonviolent Struggle by Gene Sharp

The Power and Potential of Nonviolent Struggle by Gene Sharp Gene Sharp, Senior Scholar of the Albert Einstein Institution, shares insights from his life study of how nonviolent struggle can work. For many years Gene and the Albert Einstein Institution have been mentors and catalysts for nonviolent struggle throughout the world. In this film Gene shows with example after compelling example what it takes to nurture successful nonviolent struggle. Military people trained in violence as the only way and people fighting against military violence can change their minds, hearts and ways as they learn how nonviolent struggle can work. Thoughtful strategy, discipline to carry it out, a willingness to learn and understand what people of a place want and will support are essential aspects of nonviolent struggle. Political power is not intrinsic to rulers nor is it monolithic. Political power is derived from the people of a place and will disintegrate when people withdraw their obedience and support. The film opens with a trailer of the award winning film - How To Start A Revolution. Gene gave this talk, in 1990 at the National Conference on Nonviolent Sanctions and Defense in Boston. Since then he continues his work, ever more research, and writing that is translated into numerous languages where ever nonviolent struggle challenges non democratic ways. Nonviolent Communication Part 1 Marshall Rosenberg

Marshall Rosenberg created Nonviolent Communication and is Founder and Director of Educational Services for the Center for Nonviolent Communication, an international non-profit organization based in California. Dr Rosenberg talks about Teilhard de Chardin's theories of human evolution which sought to return to a more natural way - one where no-one advances at the expense of another. He speaks of his own experiences working with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and how enriching the lives of others is the most rewarding work mankind can engage in. Rosenberg on Nonviolent Communication ~ NVC

Visionary Leader Sees Hope for World Peace Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D., author of the internationally acclaimed Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, and Speak Peace in a World of Conflict, has taken up where Gandhi, King and other past visionary leaders for peace left off. An internationally renowned peacemaker, Rosenberg's credentials rank him as one of the foremost new leaders for world peace. His visionary communication process, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), is the cornerstone of what global leaders, educators and beyond are identifying as the missing link to the solution we all seek. Viewed through NVC eyes, all anger and violence - both in the world at large and in our own personal lives - is a counter-productive attempt by people to meet their needs.

The Conservative = Violent, Liberal = Non-Violent Myth

UPDATE: With the possibility of violence at the G20 Summit in Toronto, it's only appropriate that we remind the left (that constant whines about how potentially violent conservatives could be) just how violent they almost always are. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the mainstream media consider the Tea Party capable of violence. Let's take a look at those who have committed most of the political violence, both in the United States and abroad.

Created by Franklin López and adapted from a talk by Derrick Jensen. The words of Franklin López also known as the mother fucking Stimulator found here on youtube www.youtube.com or at submedia.tv "I don't know if you know this, but the original draft of the movie star wars was not written by Lucas, the original draft was written by environmentalists. And it's a little bit different" Those were the first words I ever heard Derrick Jensen speak, and my world view has never been the same since. The year was 2006 and I had just moved to New York City to work for Democracy Now!. I was taping the Community Solutions conference, a peak oil convention held at Cooper Union. Unlike the other speakers, Derrick did not talk about about solar panels or wind turbines. He spoke of our culture's systematic destruction of the planet and of the failure of the environmental movement. After hearing his talk, I immediately sought out his books and the first seeds of END:CIV were planted. The "Star Wars" piece is one of Derrick's best analogies, one that delivers a precise critique of mainstream environmental groups. Directed by Franklin López, Motion Graphic support by pussykrew . Production assistance by Paul Clarke, Annette Fick, Rosalee Yagihara and Chris Bevacqua To see more of these great videos go to the mother fucking Stimulator's channel or website of the EndCiv website www.endciv.com For more from Derrick Jensen www.derrickjensen.org www.endgamethebook.org en.wikipedia.org en ...

Flashback Scenes - Passion of the Christ (Non-Violent)

While an important film, The Passion of the Christ is too graphic to interest many. It has quite a few flashback scenes that are particularly good, and non-graphic. I have also included the ending resurrection scene. Note: Help Remove the Ads by emailing copyright@youtube.com - Even though this is video is for educational purposes, YouTube has placed ads over the video because one of the scenes has some soundtrack music in the background that is licensed by Sony Music. There is obviously no chance that someone would seek out this video as an alternative to listening to the soundtrack. If anything, it would encourage sales of the soundtrack. According to section 107 of title 17, US Code involving copyright law, this puts the video squarely in the category of "Fair Use". However, YouTube will not consider these facts. They only bow to Sony, stating in an email to me the following: "Please note that YouTube does not mediate copyright disputes."

This is a trailer for a documentary short that aired on September 11th, 2006 by filmmaker Rob Graydon. That date not only marked the 5th anniversary of the New York terrorist attack, it is also the 100th anniversary that Mahatma Gandhi first used non-violence against oppression in South Africa. The film chronicles the 100 years following the 1906 protest. We get to see many, many non-violent movements (many not well known in the US) that changed history. We'll also get to see "regular" people (many inspired by Gandhi)doing extraordinary things to change the world around them. For more information go to: www.nyc-dop.com
