A test run of the annual "Tribute in Light" display, commemorating the anniversary of the September 11th attacks, drew crowds to the Brooklyn waterfront Saturday. The Tribute in Light began as a temporary installation in 2002 to honor the fallen at the World Trade Center site, and has continued as an annual tradition on the anniversary. When the towers fell 10 years ago, Brooklyn Heights resident Roberta Weisbrod could barely stand to walk along the promenade, but the annual "Tribute in Light" brings her back and comforts her. "It's moving, its beautiful, we look forward to it, its something very special," Weisbrod said. People got to see a small preview of the tribute Saturday night. Crews have been prepping for the past 10 days, setting up 88 lights that can be seen from as far as 60 miles away. "People make it what they want it to be for themselves and so it can be a remembrance, it can be a commemoration, it can be mourning, I know that lots of people as time go by find it comforting," said "Tribute in Light" Producer Michael Ahern. The tribute will be in full effect at dusk on Sunday, September 11, and will stay on until dawn Monday morning. "This right here makes me think of how it goes up to heaven and how it joins the people down here and the people who died on 9/11 and it joins them together and I think it just respects everyone who was part of 9/11," said one onlooker. My girlfriend and I went into New York City to see the Twin Tower Tribute In Lights on 9-11-07 As I was getting ready to leave, something told me to take my video camera.We parked a few blocks from the site on this warm, summer night. As we walked towards the WTC site I spotted a security employee answering the questions of the many amazed onlookers. I asked him what he thought the thousands of lights were within the beams of light, and he said, "Its a special effect". This is what he thought and was telling everyone. It turned out the only thing right about his answer was that it was Special. I refused to believe these dense and consistent lights extending twice as high as the former World Trade Center could be a Hollywood effect!....impossible! We truly believe the hand of God created this beautiful spiritual event for all to see. When you see the closeup shot, you will see wings. They fly as if they are in water or are they flying in the free energy field that surrounds us all. Or are they flying in a spiritual dimension using the beam of light as a portal. Are they all the souls we lost. The Tribute in Lights should be seen up close. Whatever it is that comes around the lights only appears when the lights go into the heavens unobstructed by clouds or fog. What does this mean?

11th of September 2001, a day that saw the tragedy of the World Trade Center attack in New york. The planes were hijacked by a terrorist network that called themseves Al-Qaeda. At 8:46:30 am local time the first aircraft, a Boeing 767-200 crashed into the North tower, followed by aother Boeing crashing into the southern tower at 9:02:59 am local time. At aprox 9:59 am the southern tower collapsed, and the North tower following it at 10:28 am As a result of such a cowardice attack, 2974 were killed, not including the estimated 19 hi-jackers. Their deaths were needlessly wasted, and they will never be forgotten. This tribute has been made by me as a way to show the chaos that the American people pulled through, and as a farewell to those who died.

My second September 11th tribute video, this time set to the song "Liberatio" by Krypteria. While I had been planning to make this video anyway, I created it specifically for the 9/11 memorial service at Patrick Henry College. Unlike my previous 9-11 tribute which was set to a rock song and focused more on the action and scale of the catastrophe; this video emphasizes the human element of the tragedy and the personal grief, sorrow, and horror experienced by the victims. This is a tribute video I have made for the upcoming 9th anniversary for the attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on September 11th 2001. This video is in remembrance of the souls who lost their lives that day, those who were trapped for weeks after the event, and to all those affected by the disaster; families, relatives, friends and co-workers, and loved ones who were left behind by those who are now gone forever. My deepest respect goes out to all the people who helped to save lives that day, including those who actually lost their lives in their bid to help other people from the carnage. Such bravery had never before been documented on television until that day. The American spirit lives on in the hearts of all American citizens and I truly respect that. LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES FOR FULL EFFECT. Actual FDNY radio transmissions from 9-11 with video footage taken on an earlier family visit to the World Trade Center; how so much changed on one day. Hours of radio dispatches and communications were studied from the fateful 9-11 day to compile transmissions into a timeline from the dispatchers' perspectives of just before the first plane hit the tower until shortly after the second tower fell. In addition to the many human tragedies that morning, there were a small number of FDNY dispatchers who had to piece together the events unfolding from only the radio calls coming in from the WTC area. Trying to coordinate, move, respond to and communicate with the hundreds of emergency workers involved in the WTC attack was an almost unimaginable task. Having been above the floors where the planes hit the towers, I still can't imagine what it must have been like to be there. To have no way out. To feel those giant structures buckle and collapse. Terror is the only apt word. As I watched on TV as the buildings burned and then collapsed, my heart sank thinking about all the people inside those structures. There was only small solace to me that the observation tower had not yet opened for visitors, so there were no families, tourists, or young children on the 107th floor. An hour later and hundreds of tourists might have been admiring the wondrous view from the once-tallest building in the world, just like my own family had done as seen in <b>...</b>

During 9/11, I kept seeing those terrible images of the Twin Towers. In the midst of the smoke and ashes, one message of hope stuck out in my mind...it was one given by Billy Graham. It inspired me to do this video that uses portion of his message and a song about prayer. A video dedicated those that lost their lives on this tragic day. The deconstruction has started as the Black Hole tent is taken down to make way for the new 2013 coaster, code name SW7. The dome of the tent has not yet to be taken down however as shown the front lower level as been completely stripped to its frame work. No one knows if some sort of tribute may be released as it has been in the park for many years and left unempty for six years. Once the whole structure is taken down ground work can now begin for SW7! Boards have been added around the perimeter exposed to guests of the Black Hole tent cordoning off the whole area. A September 11th tribute made AMV style using both real and cinematic footage of the events of that day, set to the song "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin. It took me approximately 5 months to collect footage for this project and just under a week to actually make it. The overarching theme is how America's false sense of security was shattered on 9-11, forcing us to wake up and fight against those who wish to destroy us. Other themes include dealing with tragedy, the ubiquitous media coverage of 9-11, and the US military response in the War on Terror. September 11th, 2001 Timeline: 8:45 am (all times are EDT): A hijacked passenger jet, American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston, Massachusetts, crashes into the north tower of the World Trade Center, tearing a gaping hole in the building and setting it afire. 9:03 am: A second hijacked airliner, United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston, crashes into the south tower of the World Trade Center and explodes. Both buildings are burning. 9:17 am: The Federal Aviation Administration shuts down all New York City area airports. 9:21 am: The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey orders all bridges and tunnels in the New York area closed. 9:30 am: President Bush, speaking in Sarasota, Florida, says the country has suffered an "apparent terrorist attack." 9:40 am: The FAA halts all flight operations at US airports, the first time in US history that air traffic nationwide has been halted. 9:43 am: American Airlines Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon, sending up a huge plume of smoke.
