Cooking with thermite
I ignited four pounds of thermite made with aluminum / iron (III) oxide in a flower pot. The thermite reaction quickly formed liquid iron which dripped down out of the pot, and into a ceramic pan. I put a beef kebab directly onto the liquid iron, which cooked the food in under a minute. It was delicious!

Thermite reaction
A good example of the thermite reaction. In this case I used 1.5 kg of iron (III) oxide and 0.5 kg of aluminum powder. There are a number of ways to ignite the reaction, but I have discovered that the best way is to melt some potassium chlorate on the surface of the thermite mixture and add a few gummi bears. Towards the end, I almost got hit with the splattering molten iron. I was too close. This is a dangerous reaction that should only be performed under controlled conditions by people who know what they are doing.

9/11 CONSPIRACY:WERE THERMITE SHAPE CHARGES USED AT THE WTC?
THE PHYSICAL IMPOSSIBILITY OF A COLLAPSE BY FIRE Steel will do all kinds of "tricks," but actually melting it requires a basic melting temperature of 2890° F or greater (jet fuel burns at 1800° F maximum). Melting also requires the element of time, sufficient to permit thermal energy buildup and "peak" melting temperature. To obtain the melting temperature for steel - not iron - one needs the external temperature of approximately 2900 degrees (F) with enough time for the metal to convert from a solid to a liquid. The process can be sped-up, but only with a much higher temperature -- such as Thermite -- approximately 5400 degrees (F). That's almost twice the needed heat. All the pooled jet fuel in the world won't burn hot enough to produce molten steel - under any conditions. Molten steel was found in the basements under the debris piles of the twin towers and WTC#7.

Make Thermite out of Sand
Here, I show you how to make a thermite composition out of sand! Just get some sand (the whiter the better), aluminum, and sulfur and make sure everything is a very fine powder. You'll have to grind the sand in a mortar and pestile (interesting side note: I found that's a pretty good way to clean your mortar and pestile!). Then simply ignite it using your favorite thermite ignition method. The ideal ratio for this type of thermite is 1.67:1 SiO2:Al, but here I use a 9:10:12 mix of SiO2:Al:S (by weight). The ideal composition of just sand and aluminum is very difficult to ignite, so the sulfur is needed for a side reaction with the extra aluminum that provides the heat to drive the real reaction. Side reaction: 2Al + 3S == Al2S3 Thermite reaction: 4Al + 3SiO2 == 2Al2O3 + 3Si As you can see, this makes pure silicon! It's pretty amazing to me that you can get a metal from sand (well, technically a metalloid). As seen in my other videos on thermite, my preferred ignition method is to use potassium permanganate with a piece of magnesium ribbon stuck down through it and into the thermite. Adding some glycerin causes the permanganate to ignite, which lights the magnesium, which then burns hot enough to ignite the thermite. Seems complicated, but it's never failed to light whatever type of thermite I've used it on.

A Kind Of Thermite (2parts plaster-1pt Al)
Here I prepare a plaster-aluminum reaction. Its a kind of Thermite as well. The mixture shown in this vid is 108 gr aluminum powder and 204 gr of white plaster powder. U can use 2-1 (by weight) Plaster-Aluminun as well (eg 10oz of plaster - 5oz of Al) The simpliest and cheapest plaster U can get in any hardware store. For example this plaster U need to fill the spaces after mounting dry-wall panels. I did NOT heat up the paster powder to get rid of the crystal-water in it (CaSO4 * 1/2H2O) USE DRY POWDER of course. Dont buy any ready mixtures filled up with sand or so. Forget about any oxidizers and dealers askin' what U wanna do with it. The container for the mixture has been the EMPTY tube of an old German military smoke grenade for exercise purpose. But U can use any other cans and paper-rolls as well, of course.
